Letting Go
Art Prompt: What is something in your life that you know you need to let go of and practice acceptance, but are struggling to release? Create an image that represents that struggle.
Materials: Permanent markers
My Art Response
In this piece, I explored a relationship that no longer feels aligned in my life but still brings emotional weight and stress. Using permanent markers made sense, since the lines couldn’t be erased or changed easily. It reflected how final some choices feel, and how difficult it can be to accept endings. As I filled the page, I noticed how tightly I held the pen and how that mirrored my resistance to letting go. The colors started to overlap and blur, showing that even when something has ended, its influence can remain in subtle ways. The process helped me practice acceptance by creating visual boundaries and honoring both the meaning that once existed and the peace that comes from release.
