Hey, I’m Adrianna!
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as my Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). Starting therapy can be a big step, and I want to assure you that my approach is fundamentally client-focused. I firmly believe that therapy should be individualized, not standardized. This means I'll take the time to truly understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals, tailoring our work to fit you specifically. Genuine progress often comes from authenticity on both our parts, and you can expect me to be a real person in the room; compassionate, present, and direct. I also wholeheartedly believe in the therapeutic power of laughter; it's an important, natural expression that can release tension and deepen our connection.
I specialize in several challenging areas, including grief and loss, trauma, and eating disorders, including Bulimia, Anorexia, Binge Eating Disorder, and ARFID. Whether you're navigating the complexity of loss, working to integrate past difficult experiences, dealing with life transitions, or seeking a healthier relationship with food and your body, I am here to provide a non-judgmental and supportive space. Because no single method works for everyone, I utilize an eclectic approach by drawing from various modalities. This includes deep, body-centered work like somatic therapy; exploring your inner world through Internal Family Systems (IFS); clarifying your values with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); and incorporating specialized methods like Gottman theory (for relational work), eco therapy, and expressive arts to give you multiple pathways to healing and self-discovery.
Ultimately, my goal is to help you build a richer, more meaningful life. Therapy with me is a collaborative journey where we'll work together to foster self-compassion, resilience, and lasting change. You are in the driver's seat of your life. I look forward to connecting with you and beginning this work.
Adrianna Bollaro, LAC
