Hey, I’m Kelli!
If you want to learn about the passion behind my work & my major reasons for kickstarting Mindfully Active travel back to our homepage.
I founded Mindfully Active with the mission to provide my community with accessible and innovative therapy resources. My extensive experience in diverse, global cities has allowed me to bring fresh, cutting-edge techniques to the practice, ensuring that more individuals feel comfortable seeking the help they need.
I hold a Master’s degree from George Washington University and am licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as a Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) in New Jersey. My professional journey has taken me through various settings, including schools and substance abuse facilities, where I provided both art therapy and counseling. This diverse background has shaped my holistic approach to therapy.
I specialize in working with individuals who want to better understand and improve their relationships, whether that’s in romantic partnerships, friendships, or family dynamics. Many of the clients I work with find themselves feeling stuck in patterns like overgiving, difficulty communicating needs, fear of conflict, or feeling disconnected despite wanting closeness. In therapy, we focus on identifying how these patterns developed and how they continue to show up in current relationships. Together, we work on building healthier communication, increasing emotional awareness, strengthening self-esteem, and creating more balanced, fulfilling connections. This work is not just about improving relationships with others, but also about developing a more secure and grounded relationship with yourself.
I also specialize in helping individuals navigate relationships that feel emotionally intense, confusing, or draining, particularly when a loved one may exhibit traits of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), narcissism, or other complex personality patterns. These relationships can often involve cycles of closeness and conflict, difficulty setting limits, and a strong sense of responsibility for the other person’s emotions. In our work together, we focus on developing clear, sustainable boundaries, understanding emotional triggers, and learning how to stay grounded within these dynamics without losing yourself. This process includes practical strategies for communication, managing guilt or anxiety around boundary setting, and building the confidence to respond rather than react. The goal is to help you feel more stable, clear, and supported in relationships that may have previously felt overwhelming.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and hold a certification in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention from Rutgers University, equipping me with the tools to effectively address trauma and crisis situations in my practice. My commitment to providing comprehensive, empathetic care is at the heart of everything we do at Mindfully Active.

“Without seeing any other therapists in the area, I know Kelli is the best. She is personable and professional, a good mix between feeling like she’s experienced in her field but also a friend. Therapy quickly went from intimidating to easy and enjoyable, and my life immediately improved because of her and my sessions.” - 28yo F
