The Bee’s Knees

Right in the heart of Historic Smithville has opened the most beautifully curated, intentionally crafted, sweetest store called ‘The Bees Knees’. The little shop stands on it’s own along the water on the Historical side of Smithville. The Bees Knees is owned by Bailey who is an artist herself and has a number of her own paintings and pieces within her space.

The Bee’s Knees

Smithville itself feels like a Hidden Gem of New Jersey, but there are a handful of places within Smithville that make it especially sweet. The newest edition of this shop brings a new kind of artistry, new ‘lines’ of products, and pieces that make the perfect gift for a friend or for you!

I walked the store about 8 times through and found something new in each walk through. The layout is done in a way that is inviting and keeps your eye connected and looking for more!

The Bee’s Knees has been curated and inspired by the markets of Paris and hand curated by the owner Bailey who is also a mom, an artist, a graphic designer, and more.

The shop includes an upstairs space which is where the shop holds and hosts a number of different events and workshops that you can sign up to be a part of!

The shop’s monthly schedule can be found here

The boutique itself is not just a shop, it’s a narrative unfolding before your eyes. Handcrafted jewelry has their home near the window sill, while cozy blankets drape over a ladder inviting you to touch and feel the quality of all of the products that the store carries. What sets this boutique apart is not only it’s merchandise, but the experience that it offers with the owner herself greeting you as you walk through the door.
