Bashful Banana is literally a hidden gem of New Jersey, particularly, Ocean City New Jersey. On the Ocean City Boardwalk, there is a little “back alley” of the boardwalk that starts with a Curly’s fries on the end, and goes straight back with a little line of restaurants. I think it is often missed or overlooked unless you know of the goodness that hides a few feet back from where the majority walks!

Bashful Banana is a gluten free and vegan establishment including different kinds of foods, baked goods, and the hidden gem of the OC Boardwalk, their banana whips!

What is a banana whip? It is BANANAS. A banana whip consists of bananas that are ripened to just the right sweetness, individually frozen and processed through a juicer. The result is a creamy all fruit frozen custard. The bananas have no additional additives or sweeteners which makes this treat able to be enjoyed by all with or without allergy concerns.

The banana whips can be made in a small or medium size with a variety of flavors or toppings to add to your whip. You have the option of blending in additional fruits into your banana whip to add additional flavor. The options for flavor choices include strawberry, blueberry, peach, pineapple, raspberry, and mango. Toppings can be anywhere from fresh fruit to granola, coconut flakes, homemade dairy free fudge, chocolate chips and more.
