Ocean City Farmers Market
The Ocean City Farmers Market is now in full swing located between 5th and 6th on Asbury Avenue in Ocean City New Jersey. The Farmers Market is located on the Tabernacle Grounds and includes farm fresh delights and hand crafted treasures for anyone! There are so many phenomenal vendors including local farms, and artisans. This market is one of the greatest in South Jersey area and it runs from 8am-12pm every Wednesday through the end of August. There are many hidden gems within this market, but I will highlight one in particular that stands out among the rest.
The market is separated into 2 columns, with the left column in the photo being all of the food vendors while the column to the right includes all of the artists and makers.
There is no right or wrong for where you choose to begin and end your walk through, but you must go and see what they have!
The produce at the Ocean City Farmers Market includes some that I often think about through the winter months in anticipation of this market returning.
The Hidden Gem at the Ocean City Farmers Market are the peaches from Schober Wm Sons Farm. They have third, fourth, and fifth generations working for their farm and orchard. Their fruit trees are planted and pruned by hand, and each piece of fruit is picked, sorted, and packed by hand. Shober farm and orchard has a rich and robust history that dates back to the 1800s and brings an element of strength, dedication, and passion in the fruit growing, selling, and business process.
These peaches are some of the best I have ever had in my life! There hasn’t been a single time where the peaches are “grainy”, and every basket from every week gets better than the week before. I have personally made pies, jelly, and even just cut them up and put them on cereal. They are some of the best to date.
The reviews on their page testify to the countless happy individuals that have had the opportunity to try their produce. If you get the chance to visit their stand, the individuals packing your order are some of the most kind, helpful, and sweet individuals!
The Ocean City Farmers Market offers a ton more than just peaches with their variety of things offered by other local farms. There are multiple farm stands with Jersey tomatoes, Jersey corn, Jersey blueberries, and more! You can find some of the best pickles you will ever taste and a vendor who is a baker and offers a humungous selection of house-made breads, English muffins, sourdoughs, and more. You will not leave the Ocean City Farmers Market disappointed.
