Lola’s Cafe & Kitchen

If you haven’t been to Lola’s yet, consider this your time to go! Tucked away in the heart of South Jersey, is THEE brunch spot. Their menu is unlike anything else found in the South Jersey area. Lola’s Cafe is a coffee shop and kitchen in Absecon, NJ where everyone is welcome. We serve daytime eats, homemade baked goods, and fresh coffee.

Brunch Goals

The menu at Lola’s hits that magical sweet spot between comfort food, and culinary creativity. There are options ranging from breakfast, to lunch, and all in between. It’s not your diner vibe of “pancakes and French toast”, though there’s nothing wrong with that. At Lolas, there is a quiche of the day, French toast kebabs with fresh fruit, and blueberry ricotta blintzes. All of their dishes are made to order with local ingredients.

'“We strive to provide a place for people to gather and hang, where you can get an excellent cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Start your day with freshly baked goods alongside a cappuccino or latte. Slide into lunch with homemade soup and one of our sandwiches, salads, snacks, or bowls. Inspired by European cafe culture, you can pop in for a morning coffee or while away the day with a meal in between.

Lola’s is a warm and lively space where you can gather with friends or hang solo, built around comfort, community, and good food and drink. And at night, we host the occasional dinner party, tasting, or private event.”

Baked Feta & Egg Toast

This dish is one of the greatest I have ever tried. It is baked Feta on a garlicy fresh basked bread with eggs and micro greens. There is a side of hot sauce for anyone who wants to add the kick. I would come back here to get this over and over again.

Every single one of their baked goods is baked daily in house. The first photo is a jalapeño cheddar croissant for the savory lovers out there. The middle photo is a chocolate caramel croissant that was out of this world. The final photo is a dish from their menu, “The Blueberry Blintzes”. Last, but not least, the plates, the glasses, and all of the dinnerware is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen in any kind of restaurant.

La Colombe

The coffee of all coffees. I don’t know about you, but I feel like La Colombe is top tier. Smooth, bold, beautifully brewed, its coffee that speaks for itself. Whether you love a pour over, an iced latte, or an iced matcha, Lola’s coffee bar menu is out of this world. They create a seasonal menu with fun options to pick from depending on the vibe, but there staples are what I go back to.

When you walk into Lola’s you immediately step into one of the most gorgeous little cafes. You place your order and pay at the counter and take your number to the seat of your choice. And here’s a classy touch: a server comes to you, and you get to choose between regular or sparkling water- a small detail- but one that makes the experience feel more elevated. The atmosphere is immaculate, and it’s your time to take your next hangout or brunch date to the white horse pike.
