Atlantic City Aquarium
The Atlantic City Aquarium is open once again!
After completing extensive renovations and repairs both inside and outside, the Atlantic City Aquarium at Historic Gardner's Basin has reopened its doors for the first time in five years. On March 24, 2025, Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr., along with Aquarium staff and city officials, gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony outside the building. Following the event, invited guests and the public were welcomed inside for their first visit since March 2020.
The Atlantic City Aquarium is home to over 100 species, including Groman, a 225-pound Loggerhead Sea Turtle, as well as diamondback turtles, southern and cow nose rays, sea horses, pipefish, lionfish, horseshoe crabs, and many more. New exhibits introduced with the reopening feature the "Under the Sea" coloring area, a hurricane simulator, and a photo booth. By early summer, the Aquarium will also launch six interactive touch tanks on the second floor, complete with daily feeding shows. The Aquarium is open year-round, seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission details and additional information can be found on their website. As part of the grand reopening celebration, admission is currently 50% off! For more information, visitors can contact the Aquarium at 609-348-2880.
