Jessies of Linwood
Jessies special location was established in 1901 as Stuber’s General Store. “Elsie Stuber, who eventually took over operations of her family’s successful market ran the business and gas station for those commuting to Atlantic City until 1956. Most people today fondly remember the old “Linwood Market” or “The Little Red Store” which served as a neighborhood favorite for kids and adults to purchase goods such as milk, candy, eggs and baseball cards from the late 1960s to the 1990s.” Jessies of Linwood has renovated this sweet space and it has become a landing point for the community.
Jessies is known for having some of the best hand crafter drinks in the area, with using La Colombe as their espresso beans for their frinks. They also have an array of ice cream in the chest next to the register where you order that is available all year round.
“Coffee Cream Community”
One of the greatest parts about this well loved spot is that it is parked directly next to the bike path. This allows the community to roll up with bikes, strollers, and friends after a commute on the bike path.
Their lavender iced latte with oat milk is my personal all time favorite. I am also a big “iced coffee all year round” kind of gal, so the ice cream and the iced coffee at Jessies is the best mid-winter treat.
Jessie’s of Linwood’s menu has grown over the years. The common choices of Jessie’s of Linwood are their hand crafted drinks, ice cream, and baked goods, but their hidden gem would be their Acai Bowls. The Açaí bowls always come out looking like perfection with the blended base that is creamy and flavorful. The toppings are always the freshest of fruit, the granola is top tier, and you get to choose if you want any nut butters or a drizzle of honey to top it off. The Açaí Bowl at Jessie’s is filling and simultaneously refreshing!
When I ordered this for the first time, I knew it could be a risk. Typically, you order an acai bowl at a place KNOWN for acai bowls. Well, I’m gonna be the one telling ya, they should be known for their acai bowls!!!
