Unleash the Joy at the Cape May County Zoo EGGStravanganZOO Event- March 29- Sunday, April 7
Get ready for a wild Easter celebration at the Cape May County Park and Zoo. Families have been invited to join the Cape May Zoo for an Easter Extravaganza beginning Friday, March 29 and running until Sunday, April 7. This ten-day event will feature an array of exciting activities that promise a day filled with laughter, adventure, and of course, a touch of springtime magic. There will also be an appearance by the Easter Bunny on Saturday March 30, from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. It’s a chance to take photos with the Zoo’s festive furry friend.
Great events are scheduled throughout the ten-day event, including “Easter Bunny I Spy”, a game that allows individuals to embark on a quest to discover hidden Easter Bunnies skillfully placed throughout the Zoo. After you think you have ‘spied’ all the bunnies, submit your total count at the Zoo entrance to be entered for a chance to win a gift certificate for a giraffe encounter for 4 people. The drawing for this contest will take place on Sunday, April 7.
There will also be an Easter Scavenger Hunt, where individuals can sharpen their observation skills and learn an animal fact while partaking in the hunt. It’s a delightful challenge for the whole family, encouraging teamwork and discovery amongst the Zoo’s fascinating exhibits. Finally, there will be the HOPstacle Course, where participants can navigate through a thrilling obstacle course that combines physical activity with some bunny like fun.
“Creating a ten-day celebration draws more families to the Zoo during spring break when children are off school, and families are looking for wholesome outdoor activities and to fill their time with fun and learning. The Zoo staff has done a great job in planning this extended event that will be fun for visitors of all ages,” said Commissioner Vice-Director Andrew Bulakowski, liaison to the Cape May County Parks and Zoo.
