Florida Cold Cuts

Their menu displays different cheeses and meats that you can bring home to build your own sandwiches. The center menu displays some of their other offerings which include charcuterie boards for your next event, organic wines, small batch spirits, curated grocery items, and gift baskets.

“We’re trying to have the things that people don’t usually have. We include grocery items that are local and unique to our store. Our wines and spirits come from a family that is actually touching the grapes rather than a big corporation with big machinery.” - Tiffany

The “Hidden Gem” of Florida Cold Cuts besides already being a family owned/run business, local wine/spirits, unique grocery items, and fresh meats/cheeses. There is a special woman in her 50s named Lisa Borrelli that has created some of the most iconic meatballs in all of South Jersey. She holds the classified information, secret rolling method, and the cryptic cooking techniques. Lisa works for Florida Cold Cuts in the “Meatball Department”, and has created something that is wanted by so many. Their team does not post on their Instagram or announce when their meatballs are in stock, nor do they allow anyone to “hold orders”. The meatballs sell out too fast, and people are calling for them daily. If you’re lucky, you’re lucky. Their meatball sandwiches and order of meatballs are on a first come, first serve basis. “If we have them we have them, and if we don’t we don’t.” - Tiffany

The meatballs are always fresh, and Lisa will taste test the sauce every single time. They will use a Rando seeded roll for the meatball sandwich with a sprinkle of Locatelli and provolone. Lisa doesn’t tell anyone her methods, and does not let anyone else cook them. You know that when you’re eating this sandwich, you’re eating something that has been crafted with passion, love, and care.

Hand-Written Notes (:

I love nothing more than something handwritten. One of the owners has made it a priority to handwrite a description of the wine, the maker, and where it’s from. It doesn’t get more personal and intentional than that!

Florida Cold Cuts is located in Ventnor City New Jersey. From the outside of their store on the corner, you just know you’re going to be eating something incredible once you enter. The prior owners Vern and Marion Sutley built a sandwich store legacy that thrived for 47 years on Florida Avenue in Atlantic City. An incredible family has entered the scene, taken the reigns, and have created a “one stop shop” right here in South Jersey.

Florida Cold Cuts is family owned by the Randos, the Brays, and partnered with Cookie. Each of them take on a different unique role within the store whether that is researching local wine and spirits, curating the “one-of-a-kind” grocery items, or cooking and making the food.
