Bellino’s Market
Bellino’s Market is tucked away in Galloway right on the border of Smithville area. It was my first time being there, and the environment was sweet as soon as you stepped in. It’s not just a deli with a sandwich counter to order lunch, but offers a bakery, grocery items, prepped food to take home, ice cream, and more! You could truly enter and leave with a treat for anyone and everyone
The owner, Chef Chris Bellino and his wife Suzanne signed a lease in August of 2017 to create Bellino’s Market. Bellino at 43 resigned from being the head chef of the Smithville Inn and completed the construction in early November. The store features a deli, bakery, and grocery attractions. Bellino explains in his history that him and his wife have dreamed of owning their own place for years and attempted to purchase the Port Store, but it didn’t work out. This was the perfect timing for their family business to begin in 2017.
The deli menu is where I began with picking out a sandwich for lunch. I decided for the classic #10- “Chicken Parm”. It was made with a breaded chicken cutlet, marinara sauce, and cheese on an A.C. sub roll. The roll itself was incredible, and if you’re from Jersey, you know the roll is one of the most important parts. The chicken cutlets were thin, breaded, and crispy when I opened the sandwich!
The market even had a little seating area for people to be able to come to have lunch with a friend. The space is welcoming and inviting with unlimited options. If you’d like to head on over for yourself to try out one of many incredible facets of this market, the address is 45 S New York Road in Galloway NJ.
